It provides the historical circumstances in which North Korea came to exist, and explores how it has developed relationships with the rest of the world. Readings cover North Korea’s political history, social history, foreign policies, cultural policies, education, and gender relations; South Korea and the US’s policies on North Korea; and issues of human rights and refugees. |
